The Forest Map in Fortnite Walkthrough and all 12 Switches

“The Forest” (chapter I) is a player-made island map you can check out in Fortnite. It’s a horror game and, honestly, it’s pretty freaky. The sound effects and atmosphere are super creepy, and there’s this mysterious monster hiding in the shadows that keeps you on edge.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete it all the way to the end.

Part 1 – Find the Axe

Starting the game you’ll be lost in small forest path blocked by a large wood trunk. Go near it and you’ll get the first quest – find an axe. The Axe is located behind a tall rock.

After getting the Axe you can go back to the tree trunk and destroy it as you would destroy any other object in Fortnite.

Part 2 – Find a shelter for the night

Walk through the path until you see a crossroad with a fire and a sitting area of your left. Walk near the fireplace.

Part 3 – The house turn on the 12 switches

Keep walking on the path until you see this house.

Going near it, you’ll see the monster and will be requested to find and turn on 12 switches.

The creature is named Le Crofsouka, it has exceptional hearing but is blind. So as long as you hide in the sides of the room, it will not find you. The creature walks in the same route around the house, just make sure to keep some distance from it and you’ll be fine.

Ground/First floor – Switches 1-4

The first switch is located on the left of the living room, near the fireplace.

The Second switch is on the right of the living room behind the bar.

The third switch is located in the hallway near the bar on the right – between the 2 vending machines.

Next go inside the bedroom in the ground floor on the left of the house. Inside there is a door to a bathroom with a switch on the wall.

Second & Third floors Left Side – Switches 5-7

Go up the left stairs and turn to the left. You’ll see another bar area. Go inside the kitchen, the switch is behind the kitchen door.

Go Up the stairs to the third floor, you’ll see a dining area with 3 tables. The 6th switch is behind the plant.

Go Back to the hallway of the second floor and go to the other side. Down on the wall, near the dresser, there is the 7th switch.

Second Floor Right Side – Switches 8-9

In The right side of the second floor, before entering the bedroom, there is a switch hidden behind the vending machine.

Enter the second floor bedroom, near the bathroom door there is a switch behind the nightstand.

Third Floor – Switches 10-12

Right after the stairs on the third floor, there is a door to another bedroom. Enter it then go to its attached bathroom, the 10th switch is there near the toilet.

On the third floor there is another living area. This switch is located on the right wall behind the plant.

Go all the way left, the last room in the third floor is the laundry room. The last switch is between the laundry machines and the cart.

Part 4 – The laboratory keypad code

After finding the last switch, a portal will appear outside the house. Go through it and you’ll arrive at a laboratory.

In there you will see a locked door with a keypad that requires 3 digits code. Find the code to unlock the door.

In the lab area there are 3 computers numbered 1 to 3. Look at every one of them and you’ll see a number somewhere in the security cameras.

Enter the code you have seen (416) in the keypad in order, and the door will open.

Part 5 – The Escape

The last part – escaping the lab is pretty straight forward, but it took me several tries to succussed.
You’ll go through several hallways, each with a locked door. Activate the switch near it to open it.
Meanwhile the creature will run around from one side to the other, it can go through doors, and you won’t (usually) be able to hide anywhere, except in those little rooms with bars near the switches.
So just hide when the monster around and let it pass, then continue on.
